A rare look at the math behind a Christmas rate. We show our work.
A holiday week rate is not arbitrary. We start from the winter nightly base, multiply by 1.5 to 1.8 depending on the home, hold to a seven-night minimum, and then add a small holiday premium — typically six to nine percent on top.
That premium is what we pay our team to be on-call on the 24th through the 1st.
We show the math to every homeowner before the season, and we do not adjust after the rate card is printed.
