The fine print, in plain language.

Direct bookings: full refund up to 60 days before arrival. Inside 60 days, the first night is non-refundable; the remaining nights are refunded in full if cancelled 14+ days before arrival, or held as credit toward a future stay if cancelled inside 14 days.

OTA bookings (Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com): full refund up to 30 days before arrival. The shorter window reflects the channel partner's standard cancellation framework and is set on those platforms directly.

Holiday weeks (Christmas, NYE, Presidents Weekend, Bluegrass, Film Festival, Jazz Festival) are non-refundable inside 90 days regardless of channel. We hold these dates closely; cancellations rarely re-book in time.

Mountain travel is mountain travel. If a closed pass, a cancelled flight, or a wildfire evacuation prevents arrival, we credit the unused nights toward a future stay within 18 months — no questions, no fees. Telluride sees a Highway 145 closure once or twice most winters; we plan for it.

A refundable damage hold is placed on the card on file 48 hours before arrival — $1,000 for stays under $5,000 gross, 20% of gross for everything above. The hold releases automatically within 7 days of departure if no incidents are reported. Reasonable wear-and-tear is on us; broken windows and pet stains are not.

Pets: welcomed at Hollaway Cabin and Aspen Hollow with prior approval and a $200 cleaning fee per pet. Not permitted at the other four homes — most owners have allergies or grandchildren who do.

Smoking: not permitted indoors at any home, including vapor and cannabis. Outdoor designated smoking areas are noted in the arrival packet.

Events & gatherings: beyond the stated sleeping capacity, please ask. We can usually accommodate a dinner or family gathering of 1.5× the sleeping count with a small surcharge for additional cleaning. Weddings and corporate events require a separate agreement.

Quiet hours: 10pm to 7am. Mountain towns carry sound a long way; the next house up the canyon thanks you.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. There is no card-type surcharge. Payment in full is collected at the time of booking for stays inside 60 days; otherwise, 50% at booking and 50% 60 days before arrival.

Use of the home, hot tubs, fireplaces, and surrounding land is at the guest's own risk. Bridal Veil Lodging acts as the steward of these residences on behalf of their owners; the homeowner's insurance covers structural matters, and your travel insurance is the right vehicle for trip-interruption claims. We strongly recommend a policy for any stay over $5,000 gross.

We update these terms periodically. The version that governs your stay is the one in effect on the date you booked, which we archive and can produce on request. Any material change to a future booking is communicated by email at least 30 days before arrival.
