On the quietest month in the valley, when the skiing is still excellent and no one is here.
March is the secret month in Telluride. The snow is still excellent — the base deepens through the second week. The crowds have thinned after Presidents Day. The restaurants have tables.
We put three homes on a March special every year, at a rate that is roughly half of peak. It is our gift to the people who ask us when the best time to come is.
The answer is always March. We rarely say it in public.
